Open days: on the sidelines of religious heritage days

On the sidelines of Religious Heritage Days, the CCA invites you on Saturday October 12 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to come admire the All Saints church and discover historical photos of the village houses and their inhabitants.

All Saints Church features an architectural style that is both interesting and rare in the region. With architecture influenced by the presence of several religious denominations, it stands out from other Anglican churches.

The building is a typical example of a New England Meeting House. Its front facade features two doors at each end, each with an overhang and corbels, as well as three mitered-arch windows in the center, the middle one of which is larger.

Also notable are its white-painted clapboard siding, its wooden mitered-arch windows, its square-based bell tower with an octagonal lantern situated at the roof ridge, and the numerous white-painted wooden ornamental details (carved door frames, ornate corner boards, wide molded fascia boards, cornice returns, etc.) that contribute to the architectural coherence of the structure.

The church features a simple and elegant architectural style that incorporates some characteristics of the Neoclassical style.[1]
